The Solemnity of the Patron Saint of our Cathedral and our country is celebrated on Tuesday 23 April.
In addition to our usual Masses at 7.30am and 12.30pm, there will be a Solemn Mass at 6pm, celebrated by Archbishop John Wilson; this will be with the Chapter of Canons in attendance. The Provost, Mgr Canon James Cronin, will install Canon John Diver as a Chapter Canon and welcome Canon David Gibbons and Canon Liam Gallagher as Honorary Canons.
It will be possible to venerate the relic of St George at the end of the Solemn Mass. A buffet reception at the upper Amigo Hall will be held following the Solemn Mass.
The Cathedral would like to wish all our Parishioners a Very Happy St George’s Day and offer a huge thank you for all your support of our Parish. Let us continue in the spirit of St George to bear witness to Our Lord and be proud of our Catholic faith.
