On Tuesday 15 August the Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This is a holy day of obligation, and so in addition to the usual 7.30am and 12.30pm Masses there will be a Solemn Mass at 6pm, at which Bishop Philip Moger will preside.Read more
This weekend (12/13 August) is Fr Francis’ last as a member of the Cathedral clergy. We will invite him back for the 12 noon Mass on Sunday 15 October, the parish having regrouped after the holidays.Read more
To mark the 175th Anniversary of the opening of St George's in 1848 a walk has been organised for anyone who is interested in the history of the Cathedral and the surrounding area of Southwark Bankside, The walk will start at St George's Cathedral and end at St George the Martyr in Borough High Street.Read more
