The feast of the Presentation of the Lord (traditionally known as Candlemas) celebrates the presentation of Jesus in the Temple in Jerusalem, forty days after His birth.
There will be an additional Solemn Mass for the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord at 6pm on Thursday 2 February. In accordance with tradition, candles will be blessed at the liturgies of this day.
